Nissan Announces an Updated LEAF for 2013

While the 2012 Nissan LEAF is already loaded with a premium interior and filled with the latest technology (like full-power accessories and a heated steering wheel), there is just one grievance from many car shoppers and that's the single interior color choice. The lightly colored gray cloth interior may catch the eye of the eco-friendly; however, many customers would prefer options. But still, others asked Nissan alternatives?
The public asked and Nissan will deliver! The thought has been floating around the Nissan design offices for some time now, so we're pretty excited to hear that a leather-clad LEAF will roll into the New City Nissan showroom at the end of this year. But don't worry, if you prefer cloth it'll still be available in a darker shade.
Along with the restructured interior, Nissan has reworked the heating system, too. It's a problem that's afflicted EV vehicles since the launch - when you turn on the climate control systems, it drains the battery power. Now with the new heater, the LEAF gets a range boost of about 25 miles in colder weather.
What're your thoughts? Are these variations enough to sway you to trade in your gas-powered car for an emission-free new Nissan?
Still not sure? Contact New City Nissan with any of your questions or concerns about making the switch. We're always happy to schedule a time for you to take a LEAF for a spin and give you a tour of all of the carbon-cutting measures Nissan has been working on over the last few years.
And remember you can always stop by and see us in person at 2295 North King St. in Honolulu.
