When Ben Bowlby took on the project that would eventually become the Nissan DeltaWing racecar, back in 2009, many were skeptical. After all, it's understandable when taking the expectations for a super car, and cutting them in half -literally. The DeltaWing has half the power of your typical F1 racecar but it also uses half the gas and is twice as aerodynamic. Jump forward to 2012, and what do we have? A car that's been specially invited to run in the lane reserved for experimental vehicles at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans this summer.

Talk about a story worth documenting. Now that race day is quickly approaching, they're releasing videos on their YouTube, sharing the various aspects of development behind this amazing vehicle. Darren Cox, General Manager, Nissan in Europe, says, "As soon as Nissan's involvement with the DeltaWing project began, and long before it was announced, we wanted to make sure that the challenge of bringing such a revolutionary car to the race track was properly recorded. This is an innovative project that could change the face of motorsport and the fans should be shown the full story."¹

What is the full story? Well, you'll have to tune in to find out!

The first video looks at the vehicle's performance within a wind tunnel. Every two weeks until Le Mans this summer, they'll be posting a new video on the channel. After the race, a full-length documentary will be available to viewers interested in learning more about these game-changing developments. You can find them all at youtube.com/user/nissanineurope.
