2023 Nissan Ariya: Explore the Next Generation of Intelligent Mobility

Gasoline has taken the automobile a long way in its 120-year+ history, but the time has finally come to expand beyond internal combustion's fundamental efficiency limitations and environmental impact. Nissan has been on board with automobility's electric destiny for over a decade, ever since it broke new ground with the LEAF in 2010. Now, the automaker is taking another giant leap towards a more energetic and sustainable future with the all-new Nissan Ariya. Building on a pioneering and innovative legacy, the 2023 Ariya blends the best of Nissan design, technology, and performance in a versatile compact crossover package.

Deliveries begin Fall 2022, but Honolulu drivers can reserve the all-new Nissan Ariya today at New City Nissan. And if you're among the first 10,000 people to reserve the Ariya before Jan. 31, 2022, you'll receive a two-year free EVgo membership plus $500 in charging credits upon purchase.

Performance and Range

The Nissan Ariya finds its motivation in an AC synchronous motor that generates 238 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of near-instant torque. Battery capacities of 63-kWh or 87-kWh provide estimated driving ranges of 215 to 300 miles depending on the trim level. And with a max charging rate of 130-kW, the Ariya can replenish its battery 80% in just 20 minutes, enabling emissions-free travel without limits. Later in the launch cycle, the Ariya will offer an all-wheel-drive e-4ORCE dual-motor powertrain, increasing output to 389 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque.

Technology and Safety

The Nissan Ariya assimilates vehicle controls and infotainment features in its vast screen real estate, maintaining the cabin's clean layout without compromising accessibility. The 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and 12.3-inch touchscreen are situated along a single plane, making it easier to view information at a glance. And standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide intuitive smartphone integration without cable clutter.

The Ariya also includes Nissan's next-generation ProPILOT Assist 2.0 autonomous driving system. Combining adaptive cruise control and lane-centering technologies, ProPILOT Assist 2.0 helps mitigate the stress and fatigue of a long road trip or tedious commute, and enables true hands-free operation under certain conditions.

All Ariya models come standard with Nissan Safety Shield® 360 driver-assistance technologies, providing an extra degree of security and confidence, including:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Blind Spot Warning
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
  • Rear Automatic Braking
  • High Beam Assist

Benefits of Going Electric

Battery-powered automobility offers numerous advantages over typical gas-powered vehicles. For example, electric powertrains are significantly more efficient in converting their fuel source into horsepower. While most road-going combustion engines use less than 20% of gasoline's potential energy to turn the wheels, electric vehicles can use more than 75% of the power they receive from the grid.

EVs not only contribute less than a quarter of the greenhouse gas emissions produced by gas-powered vehicles; they're also cheaper per mile to operate. And since sealed electric motors don't require many standard maintenance items like oil changes and belt replacements, they can save you significant time and money on service.

Design and Accommodations

The Nissan Ariya demonstrates beauty in minimalism, eschewing ostentatious angles for clean character lines and flowing contours. Even still, the Ariya achieves an assertive aesthetic with a bold shield-like front fascia and narrowed headlight clusters that appear to vanish when not illuminated.

Ariya's interior is equally refined, exhibiting a sleek, ultra-modern design with high-quality materials and cleanly integrated controls. Legroom is abundant thanks to ergonomic, slim-profile Zero Gravity seats and compact powertrain components that allow for a completely flat floor. Behind the second row, Ariya reserves 22.8 cubic feet for your luggage or groceries. And with the rear seats folded, available cargo capacity grows to nearly 60 cubic feet.
